New beds, new mattresses, new carpets, one room finished…only nine to go!
Now our ASU maintenance team are allowed back (in limited numbers) they have been busy refurbishing the Chalet and carrying out many other much needed maintenance jobs.
We would like to say a big thank you to the 88th Craigalmond Explorers who worked tirelessly on their service projects over two weekends. They cleaned out the Roman Bath, tidied up the surrounding area, moving rubble and creating wood piles. They also cleared fallen branches from our low ropes area and spread lots of woodchip. Cheers guys!
Epic Days – Bonaly’s partnership project with Edinburgh Council started on the 17th of May and has been a huge success so far. It’s great that Bonaly and Scouting can support this event to give 3,000 young people a much-needed outdoor adventure day over the six weeks up to the end of the school term.
The Bonaly Virtual Volunteer recruitment event was well attended, and we would like to thank everyone who came along. We have many volunteering opportunities for people to help with the new Modern Traditional Scouting Programme. It could be delivering activities such as bushcraft sessions, leading a burn scramble or helping us develop more self-led activities. We are also looking for volunteers to help us with events like ScotJam 2021 on the 17th & 18th of July.
