Application for the role of Regional Commissioner, South East Scotland Scouts

Do you have the drive, passion and skills to lead Scouting in South East Region?  

We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to take on the role of Regional Commissioner in South East Scotland Region. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to build on the successes within the Region over the past few years, and take the Region forward.

As Regional Commissioner you will provide strategic leadership across the seven Districts – Borders, Braid, Craigalmond, East Lothian, Edinburgh North East, Midlothian and Pentland. This is a large and diverse Region covering major towns as well as rural communities, each with their own unique opportunities and challenges. 

You will be responsible for ensuring that the Region is run effectively, and that Scouting in South East Scotland develops in line with the rules and policies of The Scouts. You will also be responsible for supporting a positive Scouting experience for thousands of young people and adult leaders in the Region and promoting Scouts to the wider world.

Closing date for applications is 12pm on Friday 23rdOctober 2020. Applicants will be informed if they have been selected for interview by Friday 30th October 2020. Interviews will then take place during November 2020.
