Countdown to the Edinburgh Gang Show 2023

October 2022: With four weeks to go until we raise the curtain on the first Edinburgh Gang Show since 2019 the excitement is genuinely building across the Region!

On Sundays 120 young people from the Main Gang rehearse their songs, sketches, solo performances as well as the dances. Over at a different venue the Junior Gang get together to learn and rehearse their items with amazing enthusiasm that Cubs and Brownies have. 

The Production Team are finalising the scripts and developing the performers. The Staging Team are meeting to build the sets, look out the backcloths and paint the scenery and props and the Wardrobe Team are preparing the costumes for each cast member ahead of the costume fitting. 

The Music team are focused on teaching the music and orchestrating the whole show for the 13 piece Gang Show Band. The Cast Administration team are keeping everybody in the right place at the right time and safe and looked after. The Tuck Shop team are kept busy selling refreshments to quench the thirst after lots of singing and dancing! 

And finally, the Marketing Team are gearing up for a VERY busy month with the poster and media advertising campaign moving up a gear, lots of social media content (Edinburgh Gang Show is now on TikTok!) being created as well the souvenir programme being compiled. 

Edinburgh Gang Show is the biggest Scout and Guide Gang Show in the UK and is highly respected across the world. Show your support for the young people and adults who our Region who bring this huge production together. 

We all missed the buzz and excitement of the Edinburgh Gang Show greatly in 2020 and 2021. Join us as we make history as we present the Edinburgh Gang Show 2022 in a new (to the Gang) theatre!
