Despite the ongoing gradual return of face-to-face meetings and our strong desire to stage a show this year, current Scouts and Girlguiding rules regarding organising large events, and the likelihood of these being eased in sufficient time, the Management Team regretfully announce the cancellation of the Edinburgh Gang Show 2021 due to be staged at the King’s Theatre, Edinburgh in November.
Over the autumn/winter season we will commence planning for a full-scale return of the Edinburgh Gang Show in 2022. Please look out for more information later this year of exciting opportunities to get involved in performing arts activities (Activity Badge sessions etc) and the main event – ‘Edinburgh Gang Show 2022’.
Having a second Edinburgh Gang Show cancelled is extremely disappointing but we sincerely hope that by taking time-out in 2021 it will offer The Scouts and Girlguiding the opportunity to rebuild and adapt to delivering exciting programme activities in a post-pandemic world.
‘There’s No Show Like the Gang Show’ and before we know it the Gang will be back ‘Together’ ‘Making Memories’ proudly wearing red neckies singing ‘We’re Riding Along on the Crest of a Wave and the world is ours!’
