All adults who have regular contact with young people must attend a Safeguarding Workshop and these are offered each term. The dates are set by the Districts however the booking and management of the events are coordinated by the Region. Our Region strongly recommends that adults should attend these within one year of validating Module 1 and then every three years to maintain an awareness of the latest guidance offered by the Scout Association. The Region are running a Training Weekend, aimed mainly at leaders who are working towards their Wood Badge.  Over the course of the weekend, modules 5 - 9 and 11 - 19 will be offered.  You are welcome to come for the entire weekend, stay just one night, come for a day or come for a single session.
