Diversity & Inclusion
Whoever you are, wherever you're from, whatever you need.
There's a place for you here. And we work hard to make it true.
quick links for volunteers
We take part in the annual march in our capital city, alongside Scouts from across Scotland, to show that Scouts is for all.
When young people can't come to Scouts, we bring Scouts to them. We run a Scout group inside Edinburgh Children's Hospital, so a long stay doesn't mean missing out.
When war forced families from Ukraine to come to Scotland, we wanted to make sure the young people could keep going to Scouts.
Scouts has always been easier to find in some neighbourhoods than others. We're changing that, by bringing Scouts to Clovenstone and Wester Hailes, so more young people in the west of Edinburgh can take part close to home.

The United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) acknowledge that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand in hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur the development of thriving communities and economies - all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests. At Scouts, we recognise that EDI principles are embedded throughout all 17 of the SDGs and are taking steps to identify how we as an organisation can do our part to leave the world a little better than you found it.Find out more on Scouts for SDGs >>
