Following the long shutdown and cancellation of many International Scouting events due Covid, it is great to welcome two of these great opportunities back to give superb opportunities to the young people of South East Scotland Scouts.
Blair Atholl Scout Camp Returns in August 2022
This unique opportunity for Explorer Scouts is set to return in August 2022. This camp pairs a patrol of Scottish Explorer Scouts with a patrol of Explorer Scouts joining us from all over the world. The Districts will soon pull together their selection and training camps to develop their patrols for the camp, so it would be great to see as many Scouts from all over the region applying to attend the camp. It is a truly life changing event for many scouts that attend and a chance to forge lifelong relationships with Scouts all around the globe.
World Scout Jamboree – South Korea in August 2023
We are eagerly awaiting the announcement of the South East Scotland Unit Leader and their Assistant Leaders that will take 27 Scouts and 9 Guides on the next episode of the World Scout Jamboree that is in 2023 being held in South Korea. Following their huge success of the 2019 WSJ in North America, the WSJ in South Korea intends to develop and further enhance the world of Scouting. We will soon be asking for applications from Scouts and Explorers to join the unit for this fantastic opportunity. This time we hope to ensure that our Unit highlights the diverse and inclusive nature of our Region, so we are hoping to get applications from all district of the Region.
