Good news!

Did you know that the Region are able to support, through funds provided by donations and legacies, a range of activities and projects, including:

  • International Expeditions via the Lyburn Trust
  • Attendance at Jamborees including Blair Atholl
  • Supporting young people with additional needs or special needs
  • Support for Conservation projects
  • Developing Sections fund

A number of Groups, Sections and individuals across the Region have benefited from receiving funds from these donations and legacies – in the June Regional Newsletter we had an article about a ski trip that a number of Groups in Braid undertook in February 2020 to Les Menuires, which was supported by funding from the Lyburn Trust Fund.

We have recently reviewed the application process and criteria for awarding funds to make it more straightforward. Over the coming weeks and months, we will be promoting these funds and the application criteria so that we can ensure even more members – both young people and adult volunteers – across the Region can benefit from what is available, in some cases when we return to face to face Scouting.
