Volunteering for 12 to 25 year olds

The Saltire Awards is a national award for young people aged 12 to 15.  It recognises the contribution of young volunteers across Scotland (not just in Scouting).

It provides exLogo of Saltire Awardstra recognition for the many young people in Scouting (Scouts, Explorers and Network) who volunteer in so many different ways.  It is particularly appropriate for those doing Volunteering as part of their DofE, or for the Chief Scout’s and Queen’s Scout Awards.  All Young Leaders and all Adult Leaders can count the time they put in helping to lead our sections, but all other voluntary activities can count as well.

Full details are available on the Saltire Awards website.

The leader (ESL YL, ESL, DC …) should register with Saltire, but the young people do their own recording.
