Bonaly needs two volunteers to lead one of Scotland’s busiest Scout centres into its next chapter.
The roles:
Chair — Overall direction and leadership for the centre. You’ll work with the service team, trustees, and regional team to shape Bonaly’s future.
Service Team Lead — Supporting and coordinating the volunteers who make Bonaly run. Day-to-day guidance, recruitment, and keeping the team motivated.
Why Bonaly matters:
Sitting on the edge of the Pentlands, fifteen minutes from Edinburgh city centre, Bonaly hosts thousands of young people every year. Two camping fields for 400. Lodges sleeping 78. Ken’s Den for 24. High ropes, archery, climbing, and more.
Recent investment has transformed the site. Now we need the right people to lead what comes next.
What we’re looking for:
You don’t need to have run a Scout centre before. You need to care about giving young people life-changing experiences outdoors, and have the time and energy to make it happen.
