As Margery Naylor, Regional Commissioner said in her recent communication, “We plan to stay close to you in order to understand just how the pandemic is affecting you, and we will work as hard and creatively as possible to continue to assist you. Caring for each other has been fundamental to Scouting from the start.”
To that end, in this Regional Newsletter, we have provided some guidance on how you might engage other adult volunteers and our young people, together with some great examples of how some sections are “Keeping on Scouting”. Please keep sharing your ideas on how you are engaging each other. We will continue to feature these in forthcoming Regional Newsletters and on our Social Media sites.
We would like you to let us know if you think there is information, advice or guidance we should be sending out to you. Therefore, we have brought together a short survey which we would ask you to complete to let us know how the Regional Leadership Team can best support our adult volunteers and young people during this difficult period. The survey, which takes less than five minutes to complete can be found here:

If you’d like to get in touch and already have the direct email address of the RLT member you’re keen to contact, you can email them directly. You can also email Mike Treanor, our Scouting Support Officer, michael.treanor@sesscouts.org.uk who is there to assist you.
We realise that you will have other priorities and concerns at this time and Scouting may not be top of mind for you and your young people. So, please use support from Mike and all of us if and when you are ready to do so.
