Fun and adventure for boys and girls 8 to 10½
Develop new skills. Soar to great heights. Being a Cub opens up a whole other world.
Joining Cubs opens up a new world of fun and adventure for girls and boys through access to a massive range of exciting activities including camping, adventurous activities, such as climbing and sailing, plus creative and cultural pursuits. At weekly meetings, Cubs are encouraged to challenge themselves to try new things and are rewarded for effort, teamwork and leadership.
Cubs are boys and girls aged 8 to 10½ who meet together to do lots of games, badges and activities, indoors and outdoors.
Across the 7 Districts in South East Scotland, based on the 2021 Census, we have a total of 2,066 Cub Scouts.
Have you thought about becoming a Cub Leader or Assistant Leader? We have lots of opportunities across the region.
If you are a Beaver and nearly 8, your Beaver leaders should arrange for you to “swim up” to Cubs. Otherwise, to find a Cub pack near you, use our “Join Scouting!” link.
Parents and Carers
We encourage all parents and carers to take an active interest in what is going on with all sections, including Explorers. If you would like to help see our information for adult volunteers.
